On January 20, 2026, Hungarian Ambassador Dr. Sipos Sándor presented his credentials at the royal palace (Istana Negara) in a ceremonial setting, together with 11 other ambassadors, to Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, in the presence of Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan. During the presentation, he conveyed greetings and best wishes from Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok and briefly praised Malaysia’s successful ASEAN chairmanship in 2025. From today, Ambassador Dr. Sipos Sándor officially represents Hungary’s interests in Malaysia with full authority.
