Participation at MAHA exhibition

Between 28 August and 6 September 2026, Hungary was represented at Malaysia’s most prestigious agricultural exhibition, the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA).

The Embassy participated at the MAHA agricultural exhibition with its own stand, where, in addition to Hungarian agritech solutions, the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) was also represented. Within the framework of the event, the Embassy was pleased to take part in the handover of the Action Plan between the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE). The Action Plan sets out specific research and development projects that the two institutions intend to jointly implement over the next five years, with a particular focus on climate-resilient farming, livestock research and agricultural innovation. The initiative strengthens bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Hungary in agricultural science and technology, and supports knowledge exchange, joint field trials and capacity-building activities under the agreed framework.
