Hungarian Delegation Explores AI Cooperation with Malaysian Parliament

Senior officials from the Hungarian National Assembly met with the Chief Administrator of the Parliament of Malaysia to discuss artificial intelligence in parliamentary management and future cooperation programs. The visit further strengthened bilateral parliamentary ties.

Dr. Tibor Bárány, Deputy Director General for Legislation, and Mr. Emil Bakos, Deputy Director General for Economic and Parliamentary Affairs of the Office of the Hungarian National Assembly, paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Dato' Dr. Ahmad Husaini bin Abdul Rahman, Chief Administrator of the Parliament of Malaysia on 27th of January 2026. During the meeting, Mr. Amisyahrizan bin Amir Khan, Head of the House of Representatives Management Division, delivered a presentation on the AI management system of the Malaysian Parliament. Both Hungary and Malaysia are actively integrating artificial intelligence into parliamentary management to enhance legislative efficiency, policy development, and digital governance.

The parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation and future exchange programs between the legislatures of the two countries. The Hungarian delegation expressed its gratitude and appreciation for the Conference on The Role of Parliament in Shaping the Future of Responsible AI, organized in Malaysia in November 2025. The visit successfully complemented the high-level bilateral relations at the level of parliamentary offices.
