The Embassy of Hungary participated in the Kuala Lumpur International Craft Festival 2017 (KLICF) which was hold from the 23rd November to 26th November 2017 at Dataran Putrajaya.

Among the participants were, a Hungarian lawyer cum fashion designer Dr. Anita Pasztor. She presented her fashion brand – Anita Pasztor. She had a live Fashion Show with 22 different dresses from her new collection. All of it are special as there are only 1 piece each for every design and they are hand beaded.

We also had Andrea Kesseru who is a jewellery designer who can easily turn scrap plexiglass into simple but wearable jewellery and accessories with the touch of a hot-air-gun, even a grill oven or certain unusual tools. She has been doing this for ages and have made thousands of jewellery pieces which are popular with young and elder generations as well.

In addition, we were grateful to have a well-known Hungarian group of dancers called 4 for Dance. They are a group who performs traditional but modern folk dances with virtuoso plays of rhythm and a lot of humour. 4 for Dance has become world champion in 3 categories – show, folk and tap in 2009 Montreal Dance World Cup which was patronated by UNESCO.

We were delighted to have Dr. Ákos Berzétei, Deputy Minister of State for International Law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary as the Guest of Honour for the Opening Ceremony of KLICF 2017 on 24th of November 2017. There was a courtesy call between Dr. Ákos Berzétei, Hon. YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia and Ambassador Attila Káli.
