Official visit of the Hungarian INPUT Programme

Business development manager of the Hungarian INPUT Programme, Mr. Dániel Vincz paid an official visit to Malaysia from the 11th to the 17th March 2019. The INPUT Programme, which is supervised by Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology, is a 5 year programme targeting ICT specialized startups and among other things facilitates in exposing Hungarian Startups to the international markets. During his visit, Mr. Vincz was accompanied by two Hungarian fintech companies, which gave the opportunity to introduce new Hungarian ideas and innovations to the Malaysian stakeholders.

The main aim of the delegation was to learn more about the startup ecosystem in Malaysia and did that by visiting and meeting different organizations in the Klang Valley which play their part in this ecosystem including: MAD Incubator, Sunway University, Sunway iLabs, MaGIC, MIGHT, MDEC and the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development. Among other things the meetings gave the opportunity for the parties to elaborate potential future collaborations, and to discuss how the two ecosystems can work together in order to share ideas and solutions.

The highlight of the week was the workshop on Hungarian ICT Innovations organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Kuala Lumpur on the 14th of March 2019 which was attended by over 50 guests ranging from potential investors to executives from various organizations. The guests had the opportunity to learn more about Hungarian innovations in the ICT sector especially with presentations by the two fintech startups mentored by the INPUT program, namely Bankzee and Family Finances as well two other ICT companies.
